What is AIT?
Berard Auditory Integration Training (AIT) is an intervention developed by Dr. Guy Berard, an ear, nose, and throat specialist from France. Auditory problems are factors that contribute to, or manifest in disorders such as learning disabilities, attention deficit, dyslexia, hyperactivity, central auditory processing disorder, sensory processing disorder, misophonia, autism, and pervasive developmental disorder. AIT aims to retrain the auditory system through Berard’s designed program. AIT is not used to treat or cure medical conditions, or as music therapy.
